Simplifying and Linking the Sustainable Development Goals

WASHINGTON, August 21, 2015 /3BL Media/ - With great challenges comes the opportunity for great action and impact. The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—also known as the Global Goals—are so inclusive and comprehensive that some people worry the agenda is in danger of collapsing under its own weight. In order to make the goals more accessible and actionable, PYXERA Global has developed the following graphic which consolidates the goals into four focus areas and demonstrates the overlap among the various goals, illustrating their interdependent nature. Importantly, tri-sector partnership (goal 17) is seen not as a stand-alone goal, but as a catalyst and enabler at the heart of all the goals. Public, private, and social sectors each have unique strengths, and all will be required to move the Global Goals from aspiration to achievement. (Download the SDGs VENN DIAGRAM here)
