TD Named One of the World’s Most Sustainable Corporations

TD Bank group (TD) is one of only 13 Canadian-based companies to be included on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations index, which was released last week at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“We are thrilled to have our social and environmental efforts recognized on a global scale,” says Karen Clarke-Whistler, Chief Environment Officer for TD, the first North American-based bank to be carbon neutral.  “Our aim is to build environmental and social considerations into our business strategy, which means they are underlying drivers of everything we do, from how we operate our business to the way we interact with our employees and customers. We believe that the environment and the economy are closely linked, and we will continue to provide thought leadership and collaboration on the environment.”
