These 3 #WomenInTech are Leading the Way at Cisco Dubai
The future of engineering is strong at Cisco, and that was especially apparent to me during a recent visit to the Dubai Co-Innovation Centre where this eye-catching facility (like many of its global counterparts) offers an exciting incubation space to a number of emerging technologies.
And, behind the helm are three incredible #WomenInTech (along with the centre’s manager Yaman Hakmi) who belong to our Digital & Innovation Team that covers the Middle East and Africa. Eman, Haya, and Safiya have set up and run the entire centre – everything from DevOps and coding, to building solutions and showcasing the next gen technology featured there.
Eman and Haya are both graduates of the one-year Cisco Sales Associate Program (CSAP) in Amsterdam, while Safiya studied as a Network Consulting Engineer in Krakow; and with their collective range of expertise – the team in Dubai represents a case study for what (I think) engineers of the future should be: software-orientated, with the flexibility and willingness to adapt to new technologies. Excelling in their fields, exploring new ones, and staying true to themselves and their cultures while doing so.
