Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Adoption Recruiter’s Story Comes Full Circle

When Edna Green walked into a Wendy’s Restaurant for her first job more than 20 years ago, she never could have guessed how the restaurant company and its founder Dave Thomas would change her life and the lives of dozens of children in foster care. Recently, at Wendy’s annual business meeting in Las Vegas, Edna took to the stage to tell the Wendy’s family about her journey from behind the restaurant counter to an adoption recruiter for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s signature program Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. She was joined by a very special guest, a little girl whose life was also changed by the vision of Dave Thomas.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption provides grants to adoption agencies across the US and Canada through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. Adoption recruiters are then given the sole mission of finding loving, permanent homes for the children waiting in foster care. We specially work with older children, sibling groups and children with special needs because they are at a greater risk of aging out of foster care without a family.
