Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiters and Supervisors Honored
Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Recognizes Outstanding Achievements at Annual Summit
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is thrilled to announce this year’s Outstanding Recruiter and Outstanding Supervisor awards. These awards were given out at the Foundation’s Annual Summit held in Columbus, Ohio.
This year nearly 400 Wendy’s Wonderful Kids adoption recruiters and supervisors attended the three day workshop. Three adoption recruiters and three supervisors were honored for their outstanding work in their field. Each recruiter works tirelessly to find the perfect match for each of the children on her caseload. In many cases, the clock is ticking as children move closer and closer to aging out of the foster care system. Thankfully, for the more than 5,400 children who have been adopted, to date, through the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program their future is full of family.

We know this is hard work and that it takes time and dedication to find the right family for a child. Each and every day all of our adoption recruiters and their supervisors work skillfully and passionately to find permanent, loving homes for the children we serve.”
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has 215 Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters in 50 states, D.C. and six Canadian provinces. These positions are funded through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption grants program to public and private agencies. Each WWK recruiter is required to follow the Foundation’s child-focused recruitment model. This model has been proven to be more than three times more likely to find a forever home for the children who have been waiting in foster care the longest.
