Wynn Las Vegas and Encore Earn Top Marks in 2015 Corporate Equality Index
This marks the fifth consecutive year the Forbes Five Star resorts have earned the honor
LAS VEGAS, November 19, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Wynn Las Vegas and Encore are the proud recipients of a perfect score on the 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Wynn Las Vegas joins the ranks of 364 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
Wynn Resorts has a longstanding history of supporting diversity and equality - with both employees and guests. In addition to comprehensive employee benefits plans for same-sex couples, the esteemed resort developer also offers coverage for transgender reassignment surgery including internal policies supporting a safe environment for transitioning employees in accordance with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) Standards of Care. The 2015 CEI rated 972 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. Wynn Las Vegas’ efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria results in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
