Wells Fargo Earns Top Marks in 2016 Corporate Equality Index

Wells Fargo received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the 13th consecutive year. The national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Wells Fargo joins the ranks of 391 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.

Ram ProMaster City Named 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year™ by Green Car Journal

Green Car Journal has named the Ram ProMaster City its 2016 Commercial Green Car of the Year. The announcement was made today at the 47th annual San Antonio Auto & Truck Show in San Antonio, Texas.

Green Car Journal editors consider all potential commercial vehicles in the U.S. market, weighing environmental attributes alongside traditional touchstones that define what customers seek, such as functionality, versatility, safety, value and style. The winner was selected from a number of finalists by a Green Truck of the Year jury, comprised of automotive experts and Green Car Journal staff.

MGM Resorts International Named One of the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality”

MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) ranks again among the nation’s leading companies for workplace equality based on its policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees, according to a prominent benchmarking organization. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) announced that for the fourth consecutive year MGM Resorts has earned a perfect score from the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), an annual HRC survey that ranks major companies for their non-discrimination and benefits practices with respect to LGBT employees.

Domtar Wins Two 2015 AF&PA Sustainability Awards

The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) recognized Domtar as a leader in sustainability with two 2015 AF&PA Sustainability Awards. This is the third consecutive year AF&PA has honored Domtar for its sustainability advancements. The awards were presented at AF&PA’s annual meeting on Friday, Nov. 13 in San Antonio, Texas.

BJ's Wholesale Club Recognized by EPA New England for Diverting Food Waste

BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc., announced today it has been awarded a “Regional Food Recovery Achievement Certificate” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its work in reducing food waste. In August 2014, BJ's became the first wholesale club to participate in the EPA’s Food Recovery Challenge, a national initiative aimed at encouraging businesses and institutions to actively participate in food waste prevention, surplus food donation and food waste diversion from landfill or incineration.

FOX's 'The Simpsons' Wins Seventh Environmental Media Award for Raising Awareness of Environmental Issues

On October 24, top Hollywood talent gathered at the Warner Bros. studio lot for the 25th annual Environmental Media Awards, a yearly awards show recognizing film and television that increase public awareness of environmental issues. FOX's The Simpsons collected the seventh award in the show's history for an episode exploring the issue of fracking. In addition, eight Fox productions received the Green Seal for going above and beyond in the call to make their productions more environmentally friendly.
