Recently about 50 social impact executives came to Philadelphia for a two-day Learning Journey to explore the state of technology and inclusive innovation. Hosted by Comcast NBCUniversal and the Social Innovation Summit, the exploration featured intimate discussions with city leaders like Mayor Jim Kenney, University of Pennsylvania President Dr. Amy Gutmann, Superintendent Dr. William Hite, Saxbys Founder and CEO Nick Bayer, local startup founders and other community leaders. Dalila Wilson-Scott, senior vice president of Community Impact at Comcast NBCUniversal, discusses why technology and inclusive innovation is critical.

Xylem Volunteers Guide Students Through EarthEcho Water Challenge

In February, EarthEcho International, along with partner Love A Sea Turtle of Greenville, North Carolina, hosted a training for volunteers from Xylem’s Morrisville location. Nine Xylem employees worked with over 100 students, guiding them through the EarthEcho Water Challenge and helping them to learn about the local aquatic ecosystem. In addition, students were able to interact with the new STEAM Lab that Love A Sea Turtle and the City of Greenville opened at River Park North. This STEAM Lab includes the first permanent EarthEcho Water Challenge field testing station to engage members of the community in the program, and was officially unveiled on World Water Day this year.

CECP’s Strategic Investor Initiative Brings CEO Investor Forum and Effort to End Corporate “Short-Termism” to West Coast

CECP: The CEO Force for Good announced that its Strategic Investor Initiative (SII) will host the CEOs of PG&E Corporation and Wells Fargo at a CEO Investor Forum on April 19, 2018, at NASDAQ in San Francisco, CA. GRI and Colombo Stock Exchange in Partnership for Better ESG Reporting

The Colombia Stock Exchange and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) will work together to provide guidance to listed companies on ESG disclosures in Sri Lanka. GRI will also facilitate regional peer-to-peer learning with other stock exchanges and capacity building for CSE staff through workshops, seminars and training.
