On a brisk Saturday morning in November, volunteers and area organizations in Austin, Minnesota, were busy getting everything ready for an event to help others in the community. Tables were being set up, groceries were being placed into bags and barber chairs were being brought in for haircuts.

Richard Lemons, co-chair of the Austin Poverty Taskforce, the organization that coordinated the event, said he was humbled and overwhelmed as he entered the high school gym where Austin’s first Community Connect event would be taking place. “I was moved by how many people cared and were giving their time to help out,” he said.

Marina Bay Sands Team Members Share: What Volunteerism Means to Me

Shortly after joining Marina Bay Sands in June 2014, Seah Beng Tat, Senior Guest Service Agent, signed up for his first Sands for Singapore volunteer opportunity. He recalled the event, where Team Members assisted children with dyslexia, as a memorable and motivational experience. Since then, Beng Tat has been an avid volunteer with Sands for Singapore, participating in numerous events over the past three years and making him one of the top 10 volunteers for the community event. His efforts go beyond Marina Bay Sands – during his own free time, he also helps out with the elderly and handicapped.

SC Johnson Goes Above and Beyond Regulatory and Industry Standards With Skin Allergen Transparency

SC Johnson announced that it has fulfilled a commitment it made in May 2017 to disclose the presence of 368 skin allergens by product on its ingredient website WhatsInsideSCJohnson.com. Previously, the company published a list of fragrance and non-fragrance skin allergens on its website, and beginning today takes it a step further by listing the specific allergens by product. With this initiative, the company goes well above and beyond regulatory and industry allergen disclosure standards, including those in the European Union and the United States.
