Net Impact announces the 2016 Impact at Work Challenge: Climate Disruptors, a competition that dares employees to inspire change within the walls of their own company. The virtual competition launches on Earth Day (April 22, 2016) and closes on Sept. 9, 2016. It is free to enter and open to all professionals working within any sector (nonprofits, for-profits and government entities), provided the company or organization employs at least 10 people. With support provided in part by International Paper and the Moxie Foundation, Climate Disruptors is the first in a series of global workplace challenges which Net Impact will organize.

Every Day is Earth Day at National Geographic; Celebrate with #NatGeoEarthDay Photo Contest

In honor of Earth Day, National Geographic is inspiring and empowering people around the world to make changes in their daily lives in support of a more sustainable planet. On television, Nat Geo WILD is dedicating its primetime slate on April 22 to shining a light on wildlife advocates, with new specials and some of the best documentaries from the channel's archive. Online, in addition to features and photo galleries on NationalGeographic.com, the company's Instagram brands will join forces for the first time ever to feature followers' nature photos through the #NatGeoEarthDay campaign.

US and UK Studies Issue Warnings About Financial and Health Impacts of Climate Change

A new study by the London School of Economic (LSE), published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Climate Change, says climate change could cut the value of the world’s financial assets by $2.5tn (£1.7tn).
