Harvesting Rainwater, Serving Meals to Children and More Social Sustainability in India

In the midst of a water crisis in India – where 77 million people don't have access to safe drinking water – the Green Team at the Ingersoll Rand Sahibabad facility built a rainwater harvesting system to collect and filter rainwater before putting it back into the water table. This restores about 1.2 million gallons of rainwater annually, offsetting 75 percent of the water the plant uses in its operations. In addition, the Green Team reduced the facility's water consumption by 43 percent by implementing standard work and making important upgrades to its wastewater treatment plants.

Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life Services, today announced the upgrade of SodexoMyWay, a digital platform enabling customer-driven e-commerce dining websites with dynamic content that will predict content for the user, enhancing their digital experience. The upgrade to the website platform includes an upgraded mobile-first technology for ease of access across multiple devices. Using the newly-released SDL/Tridion (Web 8.5) content management system, this upgrade across Sodexo’s 700-site ecosystem marks the largest deployment of Web 8.5 in the world to date.
