Today, Merck announced a donation of $1 million to the Hand in Hand Hurricane Relief Fund to support Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief television fundraiser. The one-hour special will include a host of celebrities who are supporting Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma disaster relief. The special will air live on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. EST and re-air at 8 p.m. PST.

More than 300 National Grid employees,100 vehicles--including our mobile command unit—will be departing on Tuesday, September 12th to support Duke Energy and Tampa Electric in their response efforts to Hurricane Irma.

Diageo welcomes today’s release of the latest Producers’ Commitments Report by the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking (IARD), which shows signatory companies are building momentum in contributing to a global target of reducing harmful drinking by 10% by 2025.

In response to the severe weather impacting the country, Walmart is committing up to $10 million in additional support for 2017 U.S. hurricane relief efforts. This will bring the total committed by Walmart to hurricane relief efforts this year to $30 million, building on the support provided in response to Hurricane Harvey that hit the Gulf region two-and-a-half weeks ago.

Companies in the American wind energy industry today announced they will donate $1 million to Hurricane Harvey repair and rebuilding as keystone partners of Habitat for Humanity’s Habitat Hammers Back initiative.

Four organizations will serve as keystone partners of Habitat for Humanity’s response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, each making contributions of $1 million or more to support the Habitat Hammers Back initiative. The gifts from the Dow Chemical Company, General Motors, Thrivent Financial and a group of American wind energy companies will support on-the-ground responses to the hurricanes in Texas, Florida and other affected areas.
