Happy Holidays! As we close out 2018, the Common Impact team is reflecting on the significant impact we've made with our partners this past year. We are excited to see skills-based volunteerism continue to play an important role in building stronger communities and developing purpose-driven professionals across all sectors. While we are proud of what we have accomplished so far, we know there is more work to be done in 2019 and beyond to continue to drive meaningful community partnerships.

This year, we learned we have fewer than 15 years to prevent catastrophic climate change. We saw suicide rates rise at a rapid rate and watched journalists experience an unprecedented degree of abuse. When the news is overwhelmingly depressing, we find ourselves saying things like, “Just be positive – things will be alright” – or worse, “It doesn’t do any good to get upset.”

KeyBank Community Development Lending & Investment (CDLI) has provided $21.9 million in total financing to Home Leasing, LLC for the historic preservation and creation of affordable housing in the former Holley High School in Holley, NY.
