The World Environment Center (WEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheryl Telford to its board of directors.
Telford leads corporate responsibility and environmental health and safety at Chemours. Most recently she guided development of Chemours’ recently launched Corporate Responsibility Commitment and its associated goals. The Chemours Corporate Responsibility Commitment is an enabler of the company’s growth strategy with emphasis on an evolved portfolio of products, inspired people, and caring for a shared planet.

PMA and United Fresh Ethical Charter on Responsible Labor Practices Gains First Endorsement from Third-Party Certifier

SCS Global Services (SCS), a leading international third-party certification body and standards developer, is pleased to announce its endorsement of the Ethical Charter on Responsible Labor Practices, a joint initiative of the Produce Marketing Association and United Fresh Produce Association. The Charter establishes baseline principles for the ethical treatment of workers in the global fresh produce and floral industries.

Guardians of the Coast: 5,700 Students Involved and 2,610 Km of Coastline Adopted Thanks to the Costa Crociere Foundation Project

Results presented from the first year of operation of Guardians of the Coast, one of the biggest citizen science projects in Italy, promoted by the Costa Crociere Foundation. The initiative actively involved 156 secondary schools , over 600 teachers and 5,700 students during the 2017-2018 academic year. Each school "adopted" a section of the Italian coast, covering a total of 2,610 km , equal to one third of the country's natural coastline.

Albertsons Digital Marketplace Spices up Customers’ Online Shopping Variety

Albertsons Companies today announced that Albertsons Digital Marketplace now offers over 40,000 specialty products to customers nationwide, like hard-to-find spices and condiments, specific flavors of coffee, unique health and beauty products, and other health and wellness items. The newly launched Albertsons.com/Marketplace site plans to offer more than 100,000 products by the end of the calendar year.
