The Monarch Butterfly Habitat Exchange is an innovative market-based program dedicated to restoring and conserving high-quality monarch habitat on America's private working lands. It’s been dubbed an ‘Airbnb for butterflies’ because it’s the only program of its kind that can open the vast untapped potential of large-scale farms and ranches to make habitat available for monarchs at an unprecedented scale and pace.

Smithfield Foods, a global food company that is also the world’s largest hog producer and pork processor, is the first food company to participate in the program, contributing $300,000 to restore key prairie habitat for monarchs in Missouri.

Regreening Ethiopia!

Regreening Africa aims to accelerate the adoption of farmer-managed natural regeneration and other agroforestry practices, with a goal of 500,000 households managing 1 million regreened hectares in just five years. In Ethiopia, the target for 2022 is to have regreened 200,000 hectares managed by 120,000 households.

Arrow Electronics Refurbishing the Future: 600,000 IT Assets Donated

Arrow Electronics and the nonprofit Close the Gap celebrated an important milestone: Since 2003, the organizations have refurbished and donated 600,000 electronic assets that customers have designated for humanitarian donation, including computers, storage, servers and mobile devices. By finding new life for these renewed assets, Arrow and Close the Gap diverted nearly 600 tons of used electronics from landfills in 2017.
