Xylem Watermark | Corporate Citizenship and Employee Engagement News

Xylem Watermark is Xylem’s corporate citizenship and social investment program whose mission is to provide and protect safe water resources for communities in need around the world and educate people about water issues. In 2016, Xylem colleagues around the world came together to volunteer over 21,000 hours to address local and global water challenges across four water-centered focus areas: (1) school and community water access projects; (2) water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) education; (3) water stewardship and water source monitoring; (4) disaster response and risk reduction. Xylem Waterdrop Allows Xylem Partners to Participate in Xylem Watermark
Every time a registered employee of one of Xylem’s commercial partners learns about, selects or specifies Xylem products within Building Services, they collect drops. For every single drop, Xylem contributes one U.S. dollar to Watermark to use toward building a Planet Water Foundation AquaTower, providing clean water and hygiene education at schools around the world.

Xylem Volunteers Get Involved in Wroclaw’s Urban Greening Campaign in Partnership with The Development Foundation (Fundacja Rozwoj)
Wroclaw, Poland’s urban greening campaign is aimed at the greening and oxygenation of the city of Wroclaw by planting new vegetation. Volunteers who participated in this event were supporting Xylem’s clean water mission by planting more trees, contributing to a healthier and cleaner environment.

Xylem Watermark and Planet Water Foundation’s Project 24
Planet Water Foundation’s Project 24, an ambitious undertaking on World Water Day, built 24 AquaTowers in 24 communities in just 24 hours. These projects reached a total of 24,000 people. Xylem Watermark and 27 Xylem volunteers assisted in the construction of 6 of these community-based water systems this year on World Water Day, bringing clean water to thousands of people across five countries, including Cambodia, Colombia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
