UC Davis–Mars Innovation Institute Holds “Solution Summit” in California

With the population growing and the climate changing, our food, agriculture and health systems are facing increasing strain. To do something about this, Mars, Incorporated co-founded the Innovation Institute for Food and Health earlier this year with the University of California, Davis. On December 2 and 3, the Institute hosted the two-day Solution Summit—a series of events in California to explore ways to address these challenges.

CITGO Employees Lead Volunteers at Record-Setting Environmental Restoration Event

Nearly 300 volunteers recently gathered at the Rock Ponds, Tampa Bay’s largest wetland restoration site, to take part in the largest volunteer marsh planting in the history of Tampa Bay. Volunteers planted 40,000 plugs of salt marsh cordgrass to help to restore fish and coastal wildlife habitats and improve water quality in the area. This record-setting event was supported by CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Tampa Bay Watch, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), the Florida Fish & Wildlife Commission and Hillsborough County.

Ghana Supply Chain Development Program Recognized for Outstanding Achievements in Local Content

On Friday, December 11th, PYXERA Global received the Local Content Initiative Award at the annual Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA) in recognition of the USAID-funded Ghana Supply Chain Development (SCD) Program. Since its inception in March 2013, the SCD Program has increased the participation of 194 Ghanaian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the oil and gas supply chain.
