Breast Form Fund Featured in Local Paper and on MassLive.com
'Show Us Your BRA!' aids cancer survivors by: Kathryn Roy
Artistic depictions of ladies’ undergarments will be center stage at the upcoming “Show Us Your BRA!” gala and auction on Oct. 30 at Look Park in Northampton.
The event, started by Judith Fine, the owner of the Northampton intimate apparel store, Gazebo, benefits the Breast Form Fund, an organization started in 1994 to offer financial assistance to underserved women coping with breast cancer.
“We don’t get any grants – this is the only means of funding the Breast Form Fund,” Fine said of the upcoming event. “There are so many organizations that raise funds for cancer research to find a cure for breast cancer. We are about helping the woman living with cancer and giving her the dignity she deserves, if she wants to wear a breast form.”
