Show Us Your BRA! The Breast Form Fund Announces 2010 Gala & Auction and National Expansion
(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) Northampton, MA - September 7, 2010 - What began almost ten years ago as in-store exhibitions of art bras at Gazebo Intimate Apparel, an upscale lingerie store in Northampton, Massachusetts, has evolved into Show Us Your BRA!™ , a national fundraising effort supporting The Breast Form Fund (BFF). BFF, a non-profit organization offers financial assistance to underserved women to purchase breast prostheses and post-mastectomy bras after surgery due to breast cancer.
After more then ten years as a local effort, the calendar from this grassroots local effort is going national as The Breast Form Fund has joined with three other nonprofits to form the ALL4One Alliance. This is a partnership between The Breast Form Fund, CancerCare, Cancer Resource Foundation, Inc., and Luminous Breast Cancer Foundation, with support from Amoena, the leading manufacturer of breast care products and other corporate sponsors. The primary goal for the All4One Alliance in 2010 is to raise money through sales of the 2011 Show Us Your BRA!™ Calendar. 33% of the profit from 2011 calendar sales will go to The BFF, the original creator of the Show Us Your BRA!™ contest, auction and calendar. The 2011 Show Us Your BRA!™ Calendar will include six past “BRAtistes” as well as entries from six celebrity "bra-tistes".
To honor "local" BRAtistes, sponsors, and friends, The Breast Form Fund is hosting a Show Us Your BRA!™ Gala and Auction on October 30, 2010 at The Garden House in Florence, Massachusetts.
All bras will be auctioned at the Gala in either a called or silent auction. The elegant celebration will also include delicious food and drink and lively music. The People’s Choice Award will be given to the BRAtiste who receives the most votes at the event. Tickets to the event will be on sale at www.showusyourbra.org.
2011 Show Us Your BRA! ™Calendars will be available for purchase through the following websites: www.showusyourbra.org, www.breastformfund.org, and www.all4onealliance.org beginning in mid-September. The Calendar will also available for purchase from local business friends in Western Massachusetts and Amoena retail locations across the USA.
To date, Show Us Your BRA! ™ has auctioned more than 700 bra creations, produced eight calendars and helped over 300 women regain their sense of beauty and self-assurance after breast cancer surgery. Ticket sales and auction proceeds raised at the Gala benefit The Breast Form Fund.
