CITGO Lake Charles Refinery employees contributed monetary donations and gifts to local families during the 2017 Christmas season through Southwest Louisiana charities and CITGO Partner in Education, E.K. Key Elementary School. Employees raised more than $8,000 to purchase holiday presents and household necessities for the families.

CITGO Rewards McNeese Business College Students With Scholarships
CITGO Lake Charles looks for opportunities to award deserving local students for academic excellence and recently awarded $5,000 in scholarship funds to McNeese State University Business students. The MSU business scholarship recipients each received a $1,000 scholarship towards their college education – a share of the $5,000 scholarship funds that CITGO awards to Business students annually.

TeamCITGO Celebrates 30 Years of Volunteering in SWLA
TeamCITGO volunteers and their families, local elected officials, agencies that TeamCITGO serves, and local business leaders recently gathered at the West Cal Events Center to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the employee-led volunteer group. TeamCITGO is the volunteer organization of the CITGO Lake Charles Refinery and was the first established employee-led industrial volunteer group in the area, donating thousands of community service hours to local charitable organizations throughout the last three decades.
