Republic Services’ Anaheim, CA division was honored by Anaheim Beautiful (AB) with the Unsung Hero Award. Republic’s Community Relations Manager Brenda McGuire and Recycling Coordinator Lisa Robles accepted the award on behalf of all the drivers, mechanics and staff at the Anaheim Division.

Republic Services Kicks Off "Music Mania Mondays" in Niagara, New York
Republic Services took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony in June to kick off the Town of Niagara New York “Music Mania Mondays.” This stage is used throughout the summer for all twelve events of the summer concert series, including the recent 4th of July at the Memorial Community Park.

Nashville Students Learn About Landfills with Republic Services
Middle Point Landfill in Nashville, TN recently hosted 25 students from Christiana Middle School to discuss how the landfill works, how the trucks work, and to learn more about recycling. The youth group received Frisbees and balls made of recycled material.

On June 18, Republic Services hosted two introductory composting classes for Citrus Heights, CA residents. Local residents joined Republic and Worm Fancy to learn how to compost using worms.
