Diageo Helping Hands volunteers make Christmas wishes come true
(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) January 27, 2010 - On December 23rd, Diageo volunteers turned out in full force to support their charity partner, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, at its annual Christmas party. Through its Helping Hands platform, Diageo sponsored a set of bouncing castles for the party and 21 young-at-heart colleagues (including a few spouses) jumped at the chance to supervise the fun and help the party run smoothly.
Almost 1,000 merrymakers attended the Make-A-Wish Christmas bash which was held at Suntec City Convention Centre. On the guest list were Wish families and children who have benefitted from the programmes outreach in Singapore. All guests and volunteers were treated to a fun-filled afternoon of face painting, sand art and air brush tattoos. Adding to the festivities were performances by some very talented Wish Kids and the Singapore Police Force Band.
One George Street’s very own Make-A-Wish Charity Champion, Joyce Chan said, “This has a been a fun way to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We have put smiles on the faces of the children at the party. It was a truly a worthwhile effort!”
Congratulations to Make-A-Wish and to all of the Helping Hands volunteers!
