Giving Back to Austin Through the LIVESTRONG Challenge

As part of Team LIVESTRONG, I’m making a difference in the fight against cancer. I’ve joined with other people around the globe and across different events to raise money for the LIVESTRONG Foundation at the LIVESTRONG Challenge this October. 

I am so excited to be a part of the Team LIVESTRONG again this year. Last year was my first bike ride with my Dad since being diagnosed with breast cancer and more importantly as a cancer survivor! 

Being part of the cancer community in Austin has become very important to me. On Saturday, June 4, I will be modeling in one of Austin’s most theatrical and esteemed fundraisers – Art Bra Austin – benefiting the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC). Art Bra Austin is a fully-costumed, professionally produced runway show and auction that raises funds to support local women who, like me, have been affected by breast cancer. I’m a proud Board Member of BCRC and appreciate the support they’ve provided to me and other women with breast cancer in the Austin area.

The cancer community was, and continues to be, a big part of life since I was diagnosed and I want to give back any way I can. I invite you to join me and Team LIVESTRONG at the 20th annual LIVESTRONG Challenge in Austin on October 16th. Visit TeamLIVESTRONG.org for more information.
