Orgain & LIVESTRONG Foundation Launch #WeGainStrength, a Campaign to Celebrate the Power of Collective Strength
Orgain Reinforces Commitment to Nutrition’s Role in Health Through a Partnership with LIVESTRONG Foundation
IRVINE, Calif., Aug 19, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Orgain, makers of doctor-developed, nutritional products, and the LIVESTRONG Foundation are pleased to announce the launch of #WeGainStrength. The partnership highlights the power of nutrition with a compelling consumer campaign that encourages people to share inspiring stories in an effort to bring strength to one another – especially to those impacted by cancer.
“As a cancer survivor and doctor, I believe deeply that nutrition is a powerful force in our health that is often overlooked. I am thrilled that Orgain is supporting and partnering with the LIVESTRONG Foundation to encourage more people to think about nutrition as a source of strength in their lives, whether or not they face a health crisis,” said Orgain Founder Dr. Andrew Abraham.
The movement encourages individuals to share personal stories and connect through social media. Consistent with the overall goal of empowerment, one participant will win a Weekend of Strength – a weekend trip with someone who gives them strength (or someone to whom they’d like to give strength).
“Our individual sources of strength come from many places and many people, but we are always strongest together,” explains Dr. Abraham. “#WeGainStrength invites people everywhere to share what strength means to them as well as who they gain strength from.”
To enter, participants are asked to share what strength means to them using the hashtag #WeGainStrength on Instagram or Twitter, or by commenting on the #WeGainStrength Facebook post on www.facebook.com/livestrong. Participants are also asked to tag someone they gain strength from (or want to give strength to). One person will be selected at random to win a Weekend of Strength care of Orgain and the LIVESTRONG Foundation. The contest period is Aug. 24 through Sept. 4. The grand prize includes airfare for two, lodging and a stipend for expenses. Additional prizes include Orgain products and event tickets and merchandise from the LIVESTRONG Foundation.
