On September 10, 2016 Team LIVESTRONG is partnering with Over the Edge for an all new event experience in Atlanta, Georgia! Participants will rappel down the side of Buckhead Tower all while raising vital funds to support LIVESTRONG’s free programs and services. Sound like a challenge you are up to? Here are five great reasons to get you signed up:

After going Over the Edge with Team LIVESTRONG, you’ll be able to share your thrilling account of your journey down a 20-story building. That first step of faith over the edge, the view, the thrill of rappelling—all of these memories will add to your unique account! You’ll have major bragging rights among your family and friends, and everyone who didn’t join you will be wishing they did!
2. You’ll have fun!
Going over the edge will be a unique and exciting experience that you will never forget! Get a group of friends involved and rappel side-by-side on event day. Not only will you have amazing photos, but you will also have lasting memories with the people closest to you. Your bond will only be stronger after facing this challenge together!
3. To challenge yourself and face your fears!
Having the opportunity to rappel down 20 stories is not something that comes around every day—so make the most of it! Afraid of heights? Don’t worry! There will be staff members at every point along the way walking you through the process and making sure you feel comfortable and have FUN! Getting the first step over is the hardest part! From that point on you can enjoy the view and the thrill! Most participants will tell you that they were so glad they conquered their fears to be able to experience the reward!

We want to be there for every step of the journey, from diagnosis to survivorship, and the support of our Team LIVESTRONG event participants makes our mission possible. By going over the edge with us, you will be directly supporting those affected by cancer around the world, and making incredible memories while doing so.

Being part of Team LIVESTRONG you receive personal, one on one fundraising support and tips to help your exceed your goals. We help you create and set up a fundraising page to share your story, add pictures, and collect donations. We also provide you with materials and an abundance of wristbands for your fundraising campaign because we want you to succeed! As an added bonus we give you a Team LIVESTRONG shirt to wear after you’ve landed with both feet firmly on the ground! You’ll leave the event with an accomplished feeling knowing you achieved a goal for yourself and those affected by cancer.
