Together with Teach For Japan, Hosoi is improving education for children in regions suffering from extreme poverty due to the decline in industry, resulting in education being neglected. Teach for Japan recruits, trains and supports young leaders to become inspirational teachers, giving hope and providing guidance to disadvantaged children. Hosoi has played an active role in supporting Teach for Japan to establish their organisational framework, raise their profile at universities to recruit young leaders and provide pro-bono legal advice since 2015.
Citizenship can take many different forms – from supporting entrepreneurs to helping young people develop their employment skills. The annual Barclays Citizenship Awards recognise those colleagues who make that difference and create opportunities to rise.
In 2018, we received over 550 nominations for the Citizenship Awards, celebrating the vast and outstanding Citizenship work of our employees and their contributions, not just to our customers and clients, but in helping to find ways in which to drive economic, environmental and social prosperity.
