For Working-Age Cancer Survivors, Medical Debt and Bankruptcy Create Financial Hardships

Health Affairs has recently published a study led by Dr. Matthew Banegas focused on LIVESTRONG's data from a 2012 survey. The study examined financial hardships in families across the U.S. credited to the rising cost of cancer care. The study found that debt, bankruptcy and financial hardship was a major concern amongst working age cancer survivors due to medical bills.
