TransCanada Energy
For over 65 years, TransCanada has proudly operated the energy infrastructure assets
that support a high standard of living for North Americans. Our facilities operate quietly, safely
and reliably, while our over 5,500 employees play an active part in the communities where
they live in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. TransCanada owns or has interests in 20 power generation
facilities with a capacity of 13,100 megawatts (MW) – enough to power more than 13 million homes. One-third of the power we provide is generated from emission-less sources including nuclear, hydro, wind and solar. We also own and operate 368 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
