Team Viacom Joins the Fight against Cancer with Cycle for Survival

Cycle for Survival was founded by Jennifer Goodman Linn and her husband Dave Linn. Jen had previously worked as the SVP of Brand Marketing at Nickelodeon where she led the brand and its overall company initiatives. In addition, she worked on the marketing for pro-social initiatives, spearheaded the company's multicultural marketing efforts, and oversaw consumer and trade advertising. At the age of 33, Jen was diagnosed with MFH sarcoma and led a courageous seven-year battle with a rare form of cancer. After a fearless fight, Jen passed away in July 2011, but her legacy continues to live on to help fund groundbreaking discoveries in cancer research.

CVS Health Fights Rise In E-Cigarette Use Among Young Adults With More Than $1 Million In New Giving To Advance Tobacco-Free Policies On College Campuses

As part of its commitment to building healthier communities, CVS Health [NYSE: CVS] has announced more than $1.4 million in new giving through the CVS Health Foundation to 82 U.S. colleges and universities, helping them to advocate for, adopt and implement 100 percent smoke- and tobacco-free campus policies, including limiting the use of e-cigarettes. The new grants, delivered in partnership with the American Cancer Society and Truth Initiative, build upon the three organizations' combined commitment to helping deliver a tobacco-free generation.

Ending the HIV Epidemic Requires Supporting Those Already Living With HIV

While the challenges continue to be daunting, there are numerous signs of progress in the fight to eradicate HIV by 2030. Between 2012 and 2016, new infections in New York City decreased by 26 percent. In 2017, new infections in San Francisco fell to a record low of 221 in the city that was once known as ground zero for the AIDS epidemic.
