Subaru Launches Partnership with TerraCycle® for “Subaru Loves the Earth”

Subaru of America, Inc., today announced a new partnership with TerraCycle® to help divert hard-to-recycle waste from landfills and incinerators through the automaker’s environmentally-focused philanthropic platform, Subaru Loves the Earth. With less than a quarter of the 230 million tons of trash generated annually in U.S. getting recycled, Subaru and TerraCycle® are teaming up to intercept and repurpose hard to recycle items.

$16 Million Storage System Helps Consumers Energy's Campbell Plant Protect Environment

Consumers Energy recently completed construction of a $16 million concrete tank system to process and collect bottom ash at the Campbell generating plant on the shore of Lake Michigan near Holland. The five-tank system helps protect groundwater and promote beneficial reuse of about 50,000 tons of coal ash generated by Campbell’s three coal-fired units each year.
