Corporate Sustainability Efforts Redouble, Says New Report

The rollback of America’s environmental regulations and international commitments has galvanized companies around the world to extend or redouble their efforts, according to a new report. “State of Green Business 2018,” published by GreenBiz Group in association with Trucost, part of S&P Dow Jones Indices, is the 11th annual assessment of the progress by companies around the world in addressing their energy, waste, water, greenhouse gas and other impacts, and in increasing their sustainability investments, transparency and other leadership activities.

New Wind Turbine Makes Turnhout More Sustainable

Wind energy will help provide 30% of our Turnhout, Belgium manufacturing plant electricity needs, ensuring a sustainable environment. We recently installed our first wind turbine that will help power our Performance Tapes and Vancive Medical Technologies manufacturing plant’s electricity needs. Electricity for process manufacturing can account for a substantial portion of a factory’s energy budget, not to mention contributing to CO2 emissions.

The distribution event will take place during Florida’s Arbor Day weekend on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the North Park Trail, 780 NW 127 Avenue, Miami, FL, 33182, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Miami-Dade County residents will be able to select from a three-gallon fruit or other native trees, while supplies last.
