Unilever and Nestlé made waves in February when they became the first global food companies to publish their entire palm oil supply chains — both their direct suppliers and the mills that indirectly supply them. Palm oil is a key ingredient for many of the companies’ products, from margarine to candy to soap and shampoo; yet, it has been a thorn in the side of their zero-deforestation commitments.

Colombo Stock Exchange is also working together with GRI to support listed companies in their sustainability reporting efforts.

CECP: The CEO Force for Good announced that its Strategic Investor Initiative (SII) will host the CEOs of PG&E Corporation and Wells Fargo at a CEO Investor Forum on April 19, 2018, at NASDAQ in San Francisco, CA. This invitation-only event is SII’s fourth CEO Investor Forum and the first to be held on the West Coast. Investors and media interested in attending should register through SII’s web site. The Colombia Stock Exchange and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) will work together to provide guidance to listed companies on ESG disclosures in Sri Lanka. GRI will also facilitate regional peer-to-peer learning with other stock exchanges and capacity building for CSE staff through workshops, seminars and training.
