Merck’s Office of Corporate Responsibility announced a $500,000 grant to the World Health Organization’s Expended Special Project to Eliminate Neglected Tropical Diseases (ESPEN).

Inspired by the success of Sappi’s Ideas that Matter program, the company launched a similar program in 2016 called Employee Ideas that Matter. The semi-annual program commits Sappi North America to donate a total of $25,000 to causes that are important to employees.

For the sixth consecutive year, Bristol-Myers Squibb employees in Germany, in partnership with the city of Munich, participated in “Patenprojekt München,” an initiative to provide homeless and refugee families with gifts at Christmas.

This year, CLP Power for the first time partners with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups in sponsoring the CLP Energy for Brighter Tomorrows award. The programme aims to highlight real-life stories of young people who overcome challenging circumstances and backgrounds through the power of positivity.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption recently launched an online boutique filled with items to celebrate adoption.

Each year, stars come together to celebrate families who have adopted from foster care in the CBS Holiday Special: A Home for the Holidays.

Between 2013 and 2017, Co-op contributed over $1 million to the Canadian Red Cross to help with Western Canadian relief efforts. In 2018, Co-op renewed this partnership with an agreement to donate up to $1.5 million over five years to support disaster preparedness in Western Canada.
