The White House proposed the elimination of the Low-Income Home Energy Program (LIHEAP) last week. While this proposal is not binding, we urge Congress and the Administration to reconsider this position. National Grid Among Top 5 in Nation for Energy Efficiency Again this Year
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) released its 2016 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard yesterday, and once again, National Grid’s service area in three states —Mass., R.I. and N.Y.—all were ranked among the top ten energy efficiency. Massachusetts ranked number one for the sixth year in a row, with Rhode Island coming in fourth and New York jumping ahead from ninth to the fifth spot.

Massachusetts utilities and energy efficiency service providers have filed their 2013-2015 Term Reports with the Department of Public Utilities, showing unprecedented energy savings and dollar benefits statewide over the three-year period. For each of the three years, Massachusetts was also ranked number one on the American Council for An Energy Efficient Economy’s State Energy Efficiency Scorecard.
