Extension of Second Public Comment Period Announced for Life Cycle Impact Assessment Standard (LEO-S-002)
MADISON, Wis., December 20, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Leonardo Academy Inc. The Sustainability Experts®, announced today that the December 16, 2016 edition of ANSI Standards Action includes an announcement for the extension of the second public comment period for the Life Cycle Impact Assessment draft standard, formally called the “Life Cycle Impact Assessment Framework and Guidance for Establishing Public Declarations and Claims, For: Environmental Declarations for Products and Systems, Environmentally Preferable Product Claims, Carbon Footprint Profiles.”
The second public comment period starting on October 28, 2016 will now extend to January 30, 2017.
This draft standard addresses Type III Life Cycle Impact Profile Declarations for Products and Services. It specifies the life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) methods, scope, metrics and format for declarations. This standard is intended to provide a uniform and standardized format for properly reporting the environmental life cycle impacts of any system studied.
This standard is being developed under the ANSI standards development process. Leonardo Academy is an ANSI Accredited Standards Developer.
