Grant Application and Administration Support for State Level Funding Opportunities
Do you own or operate a vehicle fleet in Ohio, Colorado, or Texas? A number of funding opportunities for reducing emissions and fueling station infrastructure are available in 2016 and 2017. Grant programs include the Ohio Diesel Emission Reduction Grant (DERG) program, the Texas Clean Transportation Triangle (CTT) and Alternative Fueling Facilities Program (AFFP), and the Colorado Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) program. Grant opportunities come up periodically in other states as well.

Ohio DERG
Deadline: October 7th 2016 at 5:00 p.m.
The Ohio EPA and the Ohio Department of Transportation are soliciting proposals from all public sector and private sector diesel fleets that will undertake vehicle/equipment replacement, repower, and retrofit projects in eligible Ohio counties for the purpose of emissions reduction. Fleets may also apply for idle reduction equipment and fueling station infrastructure.
Expected Award Quantity: applicants may apply for projects between $50,000 and $1 million with no applicant awarded more than $1 million. $12 million total funds available this cycle, with approximately $4 million allocated for transit projects, and $4 million allocated for school bus replacement and retrofit projects.

Texas CTT and AFFP
Deadline: November 8th, 2016
The CTT program provides grants for the creation of natural gas fueling stations in the CTT-eligible counties. The AFFP provides grants for the construction, gas reconstruction, or acquisition of facilities to store, compress, or dispense alternative fuel in the nonattainment areas of Texas.Click here for more information about the Texas CTT and AFFP programs.
Colorado CMAQ
Deadlines: January and June 2017
This grant program provides funding for CNG and co-located Propane and Electric Fueling Infrastructure and encompasses the entire state. Under this four-year, $30 million initiative, the Colorado Energy Office will administer $15 million for alternative fuel stations. CEO anticipates announcing new funding rounds approximately every 6 months between 2014 and 2017.
