Leonardo Academy, Inc. Named LEED® Proven Provider™ by Green Building Certification Institute
Status Acknowledges Leonardo Academy, Inc.’s Role as High-Quality LEED Project Administrator
MADISON, Wis., May 24, 2016 /3BL Media/ - Leonardo Academy, Inc., The Sustainability Experts® announced today that the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) has designated them as a LEED® Proven Provider™ for the LEED O+M rating system family. This designation was developed to streamline the LEED project review process for experienced organizations that demonstrate consistent excellence in administering LEED projects.
“Quality is at the core of the LEED certification process, and Leonardo Academy has exhibited expertise in helping to bring healthy, high-performing buildings to the market,” said Doug Gatlin, vice president of program delivery for USGBC and GBCI. “The LEED Proven Provider model represents a great partnership between Leonardo Academy and GBCI, because it allows GBCI to maintain a rigorous certification program and gives Leonardo Academy the opportunity to deliver LEED projects to its clients faster.”
“Leonardo Academy is excited to earn recognition as a LEED® Proven Provider™,” says Michael Arny, Leonardo Academy President. “We’ve always made sure our LEED work is of the highest quality from the very beginning as the inaugural reviewer for LEED for Existing Buildings in 2002, and we’re proud to continue to be recognized as a leader in the LEED Operations and Maintenance rating system family. We are ready to put this recognition to work in both initial certification and ongoing recertification projects.”
Organizations that demonstrate and maintain high-quality project submissions through LEED Proven Provider receive significant benefits, such as greater access to a LEED reviewer and recognition from USGBC for their sustained track record of high-quality project submissions.
The LEED Proven Provider program is designed to encourage and reward high-quality LEED project submissions and to minimize the need for additional work during the project review process. It represents an opportunity for Leonardo Academy and LEED reviewers to work together to enhance the LEED certification experience, simultaneously allowing them to further invest in quality control and continuous improvement and providing more opportunities for direct engagement with and support for project teams.
