SCS Global Services Verified First Carbon Offsets for Sustainable Rice Growing Methodology

As the third-party verification body, SCS verified this first-of-its-kind offset project under the American Carbon Registry, successfully proving the sustainable rice growing methodology demonstrated greenhouse gas reductions.

Final Days to Nominate Environmental Volunteers for Cox and The Trust for Public Land’s 2017 Cox Conserves Heroes Awards Program in Louisiana

At the beginning of June, Cox Communications, in partnership with The Trust for Public Land, launched Louisiana’s 2017 Cox Conserves Heroes program to honor local environmental volunteers.

Nominations for volunteers who are creating, preserving or enhancing outdoor spaces are being accepted at CoxConservesHeroes.com through 5 p.m. EST on June 30. The program is seeking nominations from Acadiana, Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

To address this challenge, a new breed of innovation is required, purpose-built to maximize efficiency without sacrificing performance and scale.

Center for Resource Solutions and Changhua County to Expand Clean Energy Options in Taiwan

Under the agreement, CRS will help Changhua County establish and grow opportunities for renewable electricity purchasing and use in Taiwan, allowing residents and businesses to use locally generated clean energy. CRS will also initiate a pilot project with provisional Green-e certification in tandem with the development of a Taiwan-specific Green-e Renewable Energy Standard to certify transactions that integrate with the new Taiwan Central Government’s REC system. This project will make Changhua County home to one of the first Green-e certifications outside of North America.
