Domtar’s 2017 Sustainability Report Named Finalist for Two Corporate Responsibility Awards

Domtar, a leading provider of pulp, paper and personal care products, is pleased to announce that the company’s 2017 Sustainability Report, “Working Smart for the Long Term,” has been short-listed as a finalist for the Corporate Register Reporting Awards 2018 (CRRA’18). This honor indicates the piece stands as an example of one of the most significant Corporate Responsibility reports published over the past year. Domtar’s creative approach to sustainability reporting was named a finalist in not one, but two categories: Creativity in Communication and Openness & Honesty.

Consumers Energy’s 130-Year History Profiled in New TV Program

Consumers Energy has been providing energy to Michigan homes and businesses for over 130 years. That long and colorful history was the subject of a story by Jackson, Mich., television station JTV-TV. The “True Story” special gives particular emphasis to the energy provider’s connections with its hometown of Jackson, from its founding by the Foote brothers through its innovations and challenges over the last decades and more.

IFF Recognized As World Leader for Corporate Environmental Action

IFF has been identified as a global leader for its actions and strategies to manage environmental issues, and has been awarded a position on the Supplier Climate A List by CDP, the non-profit global environmental disclosure platform.

100 companies appear on the A List, which has been produced at the request of 99 CDP supply chain purchasing member organizations with a combined annual spend of over US$3 trillion.

Timberland Celebrates Record Number of Volunteer Champions

Global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland recently celebrated a record number of volunteer champions at its Stratham, New Hampshire global headquarters with its annual recognition breakfast. Since 1992, Timberland has offered employees paid time to serve their community through the brand’s Path of Service™ Program. Employees who serve all 40 of their available service hours in a year earn membership in the company’s 40’s Club. In 2017, 163 Stratham employees served all their available hours and were welcomed into the 40’s Club. This was 32 more than 2016, and set a new record for participation.
